USW: Tip the World Over on Its Side
Dirk Allen was a gonzo author back in the sixties and seventies, occupying the headspace left over by Hunter S. Thompson and William S. Burroughs. He was a weirdo occultist, and after his first wife died, a self-destructive drunk who became the laughing stock ever since that Panorama interview when he loudly proclaimed he was going to prove magick once and for all and instead loudly vomited behind Michael Charlton’s desk.
He showed up on Selena! a couple of years back, and got some newfound fame when he released My Name Is Dirk A. in print-on-demand, but you don’t hear much about Dirk Allen anymore.
